One should always try different products which you make coffee with. This month we are trying Coco Quench.
Coco Quench is a full flavoured, non-dairy milk made with organic coconuts. The healthy fat and minerals in coconut milk are matched with the sweetness and complex carbohydrates of rice milk to create a delicious alternative to cow’s milk for your espresso coffee. I decided to use Blend 5 being the strongest of the beans I roast for this test.
Coco Milk
The texturing the milk is a bit hard if you are after a cappuccino and like froth, but you have enough for a flat white, with out to much fuss.
Taste
The taste is very good if you like coconut milk. You can still taste the coffee as if you were using cow’s milk. No sugar is needed as the coconut milk is quite sweet by its self.
Mocha
Pouring the coffee shot then adding the chocolate powder and poring the steamed milk into the cup was very nice. The combination of the three tastes was good and very different.
Hot Chocolate
OMG, this is the stand out! Spoon the chocolate powder into the cup, pour a small amount of steamed milk in, stir to dissolve the chocolate powder and then fill up the cup with the steamed coco milk. Very, very nice almost like a liquid “Bounty Bar”.
